When the Lumitics team came to Lime Agency, they were initially called Good For Food. The name itself was giving too much of a “charity” connotation and not communicating that the brand in reality, is mainly driven by tech. In addition, the look and feel was not very much up to standard in terms of professionalism and quality that is normally expected from the brand’s main clients, namely hotels and airlines.
First, the brand decided to go for the Lime Juicer format so that they could dedicate their time for a full week on the branding process. Within that one week, Lime Agency started working on a branding audit of its key competitors, narrowed down on the brand’s value proposition, and then created a distinctive look and feel to elevate it into an aspirational brand within the tech industry.
Finally, the brand decided to change their name officially to Lumitics – inspired by the idea of combining technology, light and innovation, all the values of the brand that they hold close to heart. Together with the new brand elements we created, the project came together nicely to represent an innovative technological brand combating the issues of food waste on a global scale. The logo and brand elements were designed to follow this innovative aspect of the brand, while the colours and photos were inspired by their proprietary food scanner technology that works accurately to the pixel!
